Fertilizer vendors should sell fertilizers to farmers through POS machines only - Dr. Kulwant Singh.

On this occasion, the stock register, bill book and urea fertilizer sold through POS machines of the fertilizer vendors were checked by him and also the quantity of urea fertilizer purchased from farmers over the phone was confirmed.
He also said that it should be ensured that the sale is recorded in the POS machine according to the fertilizer purchased by the farmer. On this occasion, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, strictly instructed the fertilizer seller to update the stock on the fertilizer stock board daily, enter the full address of the farmers along with their phone number on the bill and give the farmers a bill at the time of sale of any kind of agricultural inputs.
Appropriate action will be taken against the fertilizer seller who violates the above instructions under the Fertilizer Control Order 1985 and the Essential Commodities Act 1955. On this occasion, Dr. Nitan Agriculture Officer, Saroua, Dr. Vijay Maheshi Agriculture Development Officer (Enforcement) Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Dr. Harinder Sharma Agriculture Development Officer (Seeds) Faridkot and Dr. Kuldeep Singh Agriculture Development Officer, Nawashahr were present with him.
