Hoshiarpur- Famous spiritual writer and social thinker Dr. Harshvinder Singh Pathania was specially present on the foundation day of Vidya Mandir School and shared his views on his life, experience and literary journey.
Dr. Pathania told that his early education was done in Army School Jammu, because his father was in the army. After his father's retirement, he took education in DAV School, Hoshiarpur.
He stayed there for a long time in his childhood, where he developed a passion for going to the library with his maternal uncle Shri Ratan Singh Rajput and reading books. From here his journey of education, literature and service started, which continues even today.
Dr. Pathania obtained MA degree in five different subjects and got a doctorate in economics. For his famous work "Yogi Di Amar Katha" he was honored with the honorary Vidya Vachaspati (Doctor) title by Vikramshila Vidyapeeth.
When he went on a journey to find answers to the questions arising in his mind since childhood, he tried to express his spiritual experiences through pen. His first work "Prarthana Shatak" was published in 2017. But he got real recognition as a writer from the book "Yogi Di Amar Katha" based on the life of Siddha Yogi Baba Balak Nath Ji.
When he was asked about this book, he told that there is a temple of Baba Balak Nath Ji and Baba Bharthari Nath Ji in his house, which his ancestors have been serving for about 300 years. Due to the curiosity arising from this spirit of service, he traveled to all 12 Jyotirlingas and many Shaktipeeths continuously for 16 years. This book was written in 2021 with the inspiration of Mr. Anurag Sood, President of Vidya Mandir School.
He credited his writing to his late maternal uncle Ratan Singh Rajput and his late father Captain Mahendra Singh Ji.
When asked about astrology, Dr. Pathania said that astrology is an integral part of Indian philosophy and Vedic tradition, but unfortunately nowadays some people are misusing it for their selfishness. He said that this ancient knowledge should be used in such a way that brings positivity in life.
Dr. Harshvinder, who is playing an active role in many organizations, said in his message, "We should feel the pain of others and try to reduce their suffering. This is the essence of our education and all religions."
