Hoshiarpur, February 27 - As part of the action announced by the Sanjha Adiyar Morcha against keeping the demands of the teachers hanging despite accepting them, the effigy of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains was burnt in Kot Fatuhi under the leadership of Narinder Ajanoha, Onkar Singh, Paramjit Katib and Harbhajan Singh.
Hoshiarpur, February 27 - As part of the action announced by the Sanjha Adiyar Morcha against keeping the demands of the teachers hanging despite accepting them, the effigy of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains was burnt in Kot Fatuhi under the leadership of Narinder Ajanoha, Onkar Singh, Paramjit Katib and Harbhajan Singh.
During their address, the leaders said that the minister had held repeated meetings and demanded closure of middle schools, reopening of station selection for promoted teachers, pay fixation of C&V teachers, restoration of old pension, first service of RMSA teachers, merging computer teachers in the education department, making a rational policy for outsourced employees, restoration of 37 cut allowances, cancellation of the new education policy, cancellation of service rules of 2018, DA installments, DA arrears and pay commission, among other demands.
Despite assurances of concrete solutions to demands such as one-time payment of arrears, cancellation of Central Pay Commission, implementation of 2.59 coefficient for pensioners, issuance of appointment orders to waiting list candidates of previous recruitments, issuance of orders on priority basis to candidates selected for ETT and Master Cadre, etc., these demands are being ignored.
As a result, there is great anger among employees and pensioners. The leaders demanded from the Punjab government that their demands be resolved, otherwise the struggle against the government will be intensified. Employees and pensioners raised slogans against the government.
