
Una gets a big gift of development, Chief Minister inaugurates and lays foundation stone of works worth Rs 25.79 crore.
Una June 16, 2025- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Monday gifted development projects worth Rs 25.79 crore to Una Assembly constituency. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various works strengthening education and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister first inaugurated the newly constructed building of Government Senior Secondary (Boys) Pathshaala Una constructed at a cost of Rs 8.79 crore. This building will provide better teaching facilities to the students and strengthen the academic environment of the school.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the state-of-the-art academic block of Government Degree College Una constructed at a cost of Rs 12 crore. This block is equipped with smart classrooms, laboratories and administrative units and will give new heights to the quality of higher education here.
Along with this, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 'New Girls Hostel' to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. This hostel will provide safe and convenient accommodation facility especially to girl students coming from far flung areas, which will make access to higher education more accessible for daughters.
The Chief Minister also planted saplings in the college campus.
On this occasion, Gagret MLA Rakesh Kalia, Chintpurni MLA Sudarshan Bablu, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar, former Una MLA Satpal Raijada, District Congress President Ranjeet Rana, State SC Commission members Advocate Vijay Dogra and Advocate Digvijay Malhotra, State Congress Secretary Ashok Thakur, senior leaders of Block Congress, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, Superintendent of Police Amit Yadav and other dignitaries were present.
