Officials gave this information. According to the information received, four members of a family died due to lightning in the Yamuna Nagar area of ??Prayagraj. An official said that the incident took place late on Saturday night in Sonvarsha Hallabor village of Bara tehsil when Virendra Banwasi was sleeping under a pond with his family. During this, the lightning struck.
Additional District Officer (Finance and Revenue) Vinita Singh said that Virendra, his wife Parvati, daughter Radha and daughter Karishma died due to burns. They said that the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
An 18-year-old girl died due to lightning in Gunnaur tehsil area of ??Sambhal today, while two other people were injured, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Gunnaur SDM Vandana Mishra said that Atar Singh was working in the fields with his family members in Monpur Danda village of the area this morning. During this, his daughter Ratnesh Kumari (18) died due to lightning, while his son Rajesh (32) and daughter-in-law Kishnavati (28) were injured.
Meanwhile, two people working in the fields died due to lightning in Bijnor district. A woman is also among the deceased. According to the police, Savita Devi (40) of Mukarpuri village in Siohara area died due to lightning on Sunday morning. According to Siohara police station chief Ankit Kumar, Savita was cutting grass in the fields when she was badly burned due to lightning and was taken to Dhampur hospital where she died.
Nurpur police station chief Jai Bhagwan Singh said that farmer Ramanand Kashyap (56) was working in the fields in village Nangli this morning when he died due to lightning. The police have sent the bodies of both for postmortem.
