When Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar was announced a grant of 5 lakh rupees for the poor and Babasaheb was asked by the journalists at that time where he would spend this 5 lakh rupees, Babasaheb's answer was that the daughters of my society do not have clothes and the slums are dirty. The society was starving, contrary to all this, he said that with this 5 lakh he would open a school and college, when the children of the society become literate, he would arrange for food, clothes and housing himself, and at that time he opened a college in Mumbai from where even today the children are getting higher education and getting high positions. Sant Surinder Das also presented important facts about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919 before the congregation, who were the people who gathered at that time, why the gathering was held and the reasons for it were given in detail, after listening to which the congregation was forced to think why these facts had not come to their attention till date.
