Hoshiarpur- Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that the Municipal Corporation and Beyond I Trust Foundation jointly celebrated World Earth Day at Bhangi Chau, in which MLA Brahmshankar, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Parveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary and Joint Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari and Manveen Kaur, Taranjit Singh, Nancy Singh and Samiraj Singh from Beyond I Trust Foundation participated.
Along with this, students and teachers from various schools and colleges of the city also participated in this program. The main objective of this program was to keep our city clean and the environment green and pure by giving priority to manual cleaning.
At the beginning of the program, MLA Brahmshankar Jimpa addressed all the audience and gave information about the importance of World Earth Day, after which Bhangi Chau was cleaned.
All the officials present cleaned the area and at the end of the program, plants were distributed to the participating schools and colleges to give the message of keeping the environment green and clean and people were appealed not to throw garbage at this Bhangi Chauraha.
