Nawanshahr- Republic Day was celebrated at Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts, Nawanshahr, which was presided over by Project Director Mr. Chaman Singh. On this occasion, the flag hoisting ceremony was performed by him first and the entire gathering present sang the National Anthem.
In his address, he explained the importance of today's day and said that on this day the Constitution was implemented in our country. The Constitution of our country is the largest written Constitution in the world. It took 2 years, 11 months and 18 days to make it. Remembering Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he said that he had a huge contribution in making the Constitution. To make the Constitution, the Constitutions of different countries were read and those laws were implemented in our Constitution.
He said that we should have complete knowledge about our fundamental duties, such as we can live anywhere in our country, can adopt any profession of our choice, can adopt any religion, can leave any religion etc. We have no restrictions on this. He said that if all castes in the country are barbaric today, then it is because of our constitution. Due to which caste discrimination has ended, all people have got equal rights and women have got their rights.
On this occasion, the director Subhash and Jassi Magician gave the message of conservation of natural resources during their magic in this seminar and entertained the audience by showing magic in an exciting way. On this occasion, Kamaljit Kaur Councilor conducted the stage well and created a community feeling. Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Councilor spoke on this day and highlighted the establishment of this day.
