Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 15, 2025: Under Punjab Shiksha Kranti, SDM Kharar Gurmander Singh today inaugurated development works at Government Primary School Abhipur, Government Primary School Mirzapur and Sangatpura of Kharar constituency at a total cost of Rs 25.53 lakh on the directions of MLA Anmol Gagan Mann.
These schools include boundary wall and classroom at Government Primary School Abhipur at a cost of Rs 10.51 lakh, one classroom each at Government Primary School Mirzapur and Sangatpura at a cost of Rs 7.51 lakh per school. He dedicated the works of these newly constructed classrooms to the students.
On this occasion, SDM Gurmander Singh said that the Punjab Government is providing new furniture etc. by installing modern interactive and constructing rooms. The government is committed to raising the level of education and this initiative of the government is to increase the interest of students towards studies.
He said that the aim of Shiksha Kranti by the Punjab Government is to dedicate the upgraded infrastructure of 12000 schools of Punjab at a cost of about Rs 2000 crore in the last three years to the students studying in these schools and their teachers. He congratulated the teachers and school management committees of these schools for providing better facilities to the school students by using the funds sent by the government with full honesty.
He said that when there will be a good building and good furniture including interactive panels (smart classrooms), then the interest and passion of the students towards studies and connecting with books will also increase. On this occasion, the heads of these schools, dignitaries of the area and parents of the students also became a part of these inauguration ceremonies.
