Martyrs are not just names, they are a thought: Chairman Rajiv Vashisht

Hoshiarpur- A tribute function dedicated to the martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru was organized by RTI Awareness Forum Punjab under the leadership of Mahant Pritpal Singh at Gurudwara Mitha Tiwana, Hoshiarpur.

Hoshiarpur- A tribute function dedicated to the martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru was organized by RTI Awareness Forum Punjab under the leadership of Mahant Pritpal Singh at Gurudwara Mitha Tiwana, Hoshiarpur. During this function, Akhand Path conducted by Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was performed and tributes were paid to the brave martyrs of the country. On this occasion, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, was specially present.
Addressing the Sangat during the function, Chairman of RTI Awareness Forum Rajiv Vashisht said that Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru are not just names, but an ideology. They inspire us with fearlessness, honesty and patriotism. He said that we should take a pledge to maintain the unity and integrity of the country by learning from the martyrdom of these martyrs. He appealed to the youth to become aware and work in the interest of the society.
MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said in his address that it is not only our duty to remember the sacrifice of the martyrs, but to follow the path shown by them will be a true tribute to them. He said that today's new generation should take inspiration from the lives of the martyrs and work for the good of the country and society. He appealed to the citizens to remain aware and aware of their rights.
Retired District Attorney and Senior Advocate BS Riar, while sharing his views, said that the Right to Information (RTI) is a powerful weapon for the citizens, through which transparency and accountability of the administration can be ensured. He said that Bhagat Singh's dream was a free and impartial administration, which can be strengthened through laws like RTI.
Punjab and Haryana Bar Association member and senior advocate Sudeep Singh Bhullar said that we will have to make continuous efforts to make the justice and equality for which Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his companions sacrificed a reality. He appealed to the common people to become aware citizens and demand accountability from the administration.
On this occasion, District Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai, Prof. Bahadur Singh Sunet also addressed while the stage was conducted by State Awardee Head Master Deepak Vashisht.
During this, apart from all the speakers, CA Mohit Mohan, CA Ratandeep Singh, CA Naman Jain, Master Chandra Prakash were also honored.
