
New boundary wall of Mehna Primary School to be built at a cost of Rs 5.35 lakh
24 February Hoshiarpur- Chabbewal Assembly constituency MLA Dr Ishan Kumar started the construction work of new boundary wall in Government Primary School Mehna. An amount of Rs 5 lakh 35 thousand has been sanctioned for this project. The MLA started the work by laying the foundation stone and addressed the people present there.

On this occasion, MLA Dr Ishan Kumar said that the Punjab government is constantly making efforts to strengthen the infrastructure of education and provide modern facilities to the students. He said, "The aim of our government is not only to build school buildings, but also to provide quality education to the students studying in them. Under the new education policy, digital education will be promoted, which will make the students technically competent."
He also said that the government schools of the state are being equipped with smart classrooms and teachers are being trained to use the latest technologies. The MLA said that we want our government schools to be no less than any private institution. The progress of the state and the country is possible only through quality education.
Apart from this, the Punjab government has started many schemes to improve the level of education in government schools, which include renovation of schools, new recruitment of teachers and promotion of technical education. He directed the education department to inspect other government schools as well and take necessary steps where improvement is needed.
Deputy District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Sukhwinder Singh, District Coordinator Rajneesh Kumar, District Smart Classroom Coordinator Satish Kumar Sharma, Junior Engineer Narinder Singh, Head Teacher Anuradha, Sarpanch Narinder Pal, Panchayat members Reena Rani, Omkar Singh, Parveen Kaur, former Sarpanch Satnam Singh, Joginder Singh and Balbir Kaur were also present in this program.
