
Vinay Modi took over as Member Secretary of SC Commission
Una, February 21- Vinay Modi, a senior officer of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service, took over as the permanent member secretary of Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission located at Rampur in Una on Friday. On this occasion, he expressed his commitment to implement all the policies and schemes for the upliftment and protection of the rights of the Scheduled Caste class through the commission with complete transparency and effectiveness. Earlier, Una Assistant Commissioner Varindra Sharma was handling the additional charge of Member Secretary.

Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and said that the appointment of a permanent member secretary will increase the efficiency of the commission and ensure prompt disposal of complaints received from various districts. He said that the commission is committed to the welfare of the Scheduled Caste class and priority will be given to the speedy disposal of all pending cases and effective implementation of schemes.
It is worth noting that the present state government has gifted the office of Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission to Una with a commitment to protect the interests of the Scheduled Caste class and protect their rights. It was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in December 2024. The primary objective of the commission is to provide justice and facilities to the Scheduled Caste category.
On this occasion, Commission member Advocate Vijay Dogra, District Welfare Officer Anita Sharma, ARO Narendra Sharma, Sarvjot and other officers and dignitaries associated with the social sector were present.
