Hoshiarpur, February 19 - Sanjhi Rasoi project being run by District Red Cross Society in Mohalla Ish Nagar is running very successfully under the patronage and guidance of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal. 400 to 450 poor and needy people are benefiting from it every day.
Giving information in this regard, Secretary of District Red Cross Society, Mangesh Sood said that today Gursharan Kaur Dhillon and Lieutenant General J.S. Dhillon, VSM (Retd.) contributed a total of Rs 5100 to Sanjhi Rasoi on the occasion of the 20th wedding anniversary of their daughter Ruhi Dhillon Thiara and son-in-law Kulwant Singh Thiara. Rajiv Bajaj, Aajpal Singh Sahni, Red Cross Executive Member and Karamjit Kaur Ahluwalia Red Cross Member were also present on this occasion.
Secretary Red Cross also informed that this project being run by District Red Cross is being run with the donations given by donors/social workers of the district. Under the Book-a-Day scheme, they are continuously providing financial help and also providing help in the form of ration material for celebrating birthdays, marriages/anniversaries and days related to memories of their family members in Sanjhi Rasoi.
