
Development works worth crores of rupees approved in Municipal Corporation House meeting: Mayor Surinder Kumar.
Hoshiarpur- An important meeting of Hoshiarpur Municipal Corporation House was held today under the chairmanship of Mayor Surinder Kumar, in which various development works of the city and service matters related to employees were approved. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattoo, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Lata Saini, Chairman of Finance and Contract Committee of the Corporation Balwinder Kumar Bindi, Councilor of Ward No. 10 and Chairman of Market Committee Jaspal Singh Chechi were also specially present in this meeting. Apart from this, councilors of various wards of the Municipal Corporation participated in the meeting and played their active role.

The Mayor said that an important decision has been taken to make the cleanliness system of the city more effective, under which the work of collecting garbage from every house, processing it scientifically and transporting it to the main processing center located at Pipalwala will now be handed over to a private agency.
This will get rid of the heaps of garbage lying at various places in the city. The mayor said that in honor of the brave soldiers who protect the country, an army tank will be installed in Green View Park, which will not only salute the military spirit but will also enhance the beauty of the park. He said that to provide clean drinking water to the city residents, the Municipal Corporation has approved an expenditure of Rs 167.46 lakh for reboring of various tube wells.
Apart from this, a budget of Rs 7.10 crore was approved for laying water supply lines in various areas of the city under the Amrit-2 scheme. Mayor Surinder Kumar said that the Municipal Corporation has approved an expenditure of Rs 2323.41 lakh for the maintenance of water supply and sewerage system. Apart from this, keeping in mind the rainy season, Rs 9.87 lakh has been approved for cleaning various drains to prevent waterlogging in the streets and localities of the city.
Mayor Surinder Kumar said that the Municipal Corporation is constantly striving to make the city clean, beautiful and convenient. This House meeting is another important step in this direction.
On this occasion, many senior officers including Joint Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari, SE Satish Kumar Saini, Engineer Harpreet Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Municipal Corporation Town Planner Lakhveer Singh were present.
