
Town and Village Planning Office Una organized awareness camp for planned development
Una, February 17- An awareness camp was organized by the Sub-Divisional Town and Village Planning Office Una in the auditorium of the Municipal Council on Monday for the planned development of Una city. The Municipal Council President, Vice-President, Panchayat Pradhans, Deputy Pradhans, Secretaries and Ward Members participated in this camp.
Una, February 17- An awareness camp was organized by the Sub-Divisional Town and Village Planning Office Una in the auditorium of the Municipal Council on Monday for the planned development of Una city. The Municipal Council President, Vice-President, Panchayat Pradhans, Deputy Pradhans, Secretaries and Ward Members participated in this camp.
During this, Assistant Town Planner Una Pankaj Sharma gave detailed information about the Himachal Pradesh Town and Village Planning Act 1977 and the rules and standards applicable in Una Scheme/Special Area. He asked all the public representatives present to make people aware in their respective areas to maintain balance between the city and the village through planned development so that the future of the coming generations can be happy.
Pankaj Sharma also gave information about the exemption provided by the Act for developmental activities in rural areas. He said that if any person wants to buy land and construct in the Panchayats included in the Una Scheme area, then it is mandatory for him to take permission from the office. Giving information about the provisions of Section 16 (C) of Town and Country Planning Act, 1977, he said that people can sell their land only after getting the plot approved from the department, and the buyer should ensure that he buys only the plot subdivided by the department so that he can get all the necessary facilities and can build a good, planned house.
Making people aware about the provisions of Real Estate Regulation and Development Authority (RERA), he said that a person who wants to sell a plot or construct more than 8 apartments on 500 square meter land in a notified planning area, is required to get registered under Real Estate (RERA).
Apart from this, if a person wants to construct a plot or apartment on more than 2500 square meter land, then that area will be considered as deemed planning area and there also it is necessary to take approval of the department and get it registered with RERA. He stressed on the need to avoid illegal construction and made people aware about the difficulties arising from illegal construction. He urged that all construction works should not be done without obtaining the approval of the department so that any kind of problems can be avoided in future.
On this occasion, Shiv Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Ashok Kumar and other dignitaries from the Town and Village Planning Office were present.
