Hoshiarpur- Shri Guru Ravidas Jayanti, a very important day for the followers of Sant Ravidas, is being celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm across the state. The celebration was particularly enthusiastic in the Doaba region, where Shobha Yatras have been going on for the last several days.
Like previous years, this year too a large number of devotees have left for the pilgrimage to Kashi (Varanasi), the birthplace of Guru Ravidas ji.
This holy pilgrimage is being led by Sant Niranjan Das of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, who is traveling in Begumpura Express along with lakhs of devotees. He worshiped and paid homage to the great Satguru Ravidas at Seer Govardhan Dham in Kashi.
Lok Sabha member from Hoshiarpur parliamentary constituency Dr. Raj Kumar also reached Kashi and participated in this special program. During this, he paid obeisance at Sir Govardhan Dham and took blessings from Sant Niranjan Das. Sant Niranjan Das felicitated Dr. Raj Kumar by presenting him a commemorative picture of Guru Ravidas Ji.
On this occasion, Dr. Raj also did Safai Seva. Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Raj Kumar said, "It is a great privilege for me to pay obeisance at Kashi on this auspicious day. I feel very proud to receive the blessings of Pujya Sant Niranjan Das Ji of Dera Ballan.
