
DBU students visit religious site, participate in cleanliness drive
Mandi Gobindgarh, January 24- The Ek Bharat Shrestha Cell, Faculty of Information Technology and Computing, Desh Bhagat University today conducted a meaningful and inspiring visit to Gurdwara Shri Fatehgarh Sahib. The historic visit was a blend of spiritual and social responsibility, as the faculty and students actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to promote cleanliness and hygiene around the holy place.

The historic visit was a blend of spiritual and social responsibility, as the faculty and students actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to promote cleanliness and hygiene around the holy place.
The visit began with offering obeisance at the Gurdwara Sahib. As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Desh Bhagat University team conducted a cleanliness drive in and around the Gurdwara Sahib. Students and faculty members cleaned the paths, collected garbage and created awareness about maintaining cleanliness in public places.
Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh stressed on the importance of linking education with social responsibility. He said, "Desh Bhagat University believes in holistic development, which includes promoting a sense of responsibility towards society and the environment".
University Pro-Chancellor Dr Tajinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students. She said that the visit created a sense of collective prayer for peace and prosperity. Desh Bhagat University Vice President Dr Harsh Sadavarti congratulated HK Sidhu, Dr Arshdeep Singh and Gurjit Singh Pandher for taking this initiative for the students of the university and motivating them to participate in this event.
