
Awareness seminar organized on National Road Safety Month
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 January 2025: ASI Janak Raj and female constable Khushpreet Kaur, in-charge of Traffic Education Cell of District Police, along with Traffic In-charge Zone ASI Surinder Singh and Head Constable Suresh Singh, organized an awareness seminar on National Road Safety Month at Gurukul World School and G.D. Goenka Public School SAS Nagar with teachers-students and bus drivers and female attendants.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 24 January 2025: ASI Janak Raj and female constable Khushpreet Kaur, in-charge of Traffic Education Cell of District Police, along with Traffic In-charge Zone ASI Surinder Singh and Head Constable Suresh Singh, organized an awareness seminar on National Road Safety Month at Gurukul World School and G.D. Goenka Public School SAS Nagar with teachers-students and bus drivers and female attendants.
On this occasion, keeping in mind the foggy days, information was given about reflector tape, not driving under the influence of drugs and traffic rules, not driving under the age of 18, getting compensation from the Saleal Fund in case of an accident with an unknown vehicle, lane driving, not using pressure horns and environmental safety.
They appealed to install high security number plates on vehicles, wear helmets on two-wheelers, park vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, use indicators while turning left and right, not to violate red lights, not to drive any vehicle under the influence of any drug, not to burst firecrackers on bullet motorcycles and not to modify them.
They were urged to strictly follow traffic rules. Information was given about calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 to get and give help from the police, along with calling 1930 for cybercrime.
