
Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized awareness camp at village Naru Nangal Khas
Hoshiarpur- Under the leadership of National Academy of Agricultural Science, Ludhiana Chapter, PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bahowal, Hoshiarpur organized an awareness camp at village Naru Nangal Khas. Addressing the farmers, Dr. Maninder Singh Bance, Associate Director (Training), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bahowal, informed about the activities of this center. He shared important points regarding comprehensive fertilizer, weed and pest management of Rabi crops.

He shared important points regarding comprehensive fertilizer, weed and pest management of Rabi crops.
Dr. Bance said that the current weather is favorable for the onset and growth of late blight of potatoes and yellow leaf spot of wheat. He asked the farmers to keep a constant survey of the fields with vigilance and stressed on contacting experts for the solution of any crop problem. Dr. Parminder Singh, Animal Husbandry Expert of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hoshiarpur, gave information about the care of animals in the winter season. He highlighted the importance of metal powder in the diet of animals and talked about its continuous use.
Assistant Professor (Vegetable Science), Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hoshiarpur, Dr. Karamveer Singh Garcha, made people aware about the nutritional importance of fruits, vegetables and mushrooms in the daily diet and also motivated them to adopt a holistic nutritious home garden at the household level. During this, discussions were also held with experts about the concerns and problems related to agriculture. Sarpanch Usha Kumari of village Naru Nangal Khas and other progressive farmers Surjit Singh, Balvir Singh, Avtar Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Bhim Singh, Tara Chand, Harpreet Singh and Tirath Sharma were present in the camp.
