Una, January 1- From the first day of the new year, the district administration of Una was seen in the field with full vigor and promptness for public welfare. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal inspected the old market of Una along with Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh, SDM Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan and officials of Municipal Council Una. During this, he took stock of the problems arising in the market and took immediate corrective action.
In fact, due to the discounts and sales given by the business establishments of Una on the occasion of New Year, there was a huge crowd in the market for the last one or two days. In such a situation, the traffic was getting obstructed due to encroachment in front of the shops by the vendors, setting up hawkers and erecting temporary business structures, and the general public was also facing difficulties in movement. This was also affecting the uninterrupted availability of emergency services. To solve these problems being faced by the people, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal himself visited the market with the administrative staff, closely inspected the situation and ensured quick corrective action.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner checked the licenses of the vendors and the permission slips issued by the Municipal Council. During this, the carts of the encroaching vendors were removed from the main road and those who violated the rules were fined. The Deputy Commissioner said that in future efforts will be made to organize such sales activities in open and organized places, so that the general public does not face any inconvenience and the market system remains better.
It is worth noting that yesterday the administration had issued an order to strictly ban unauthorized business activities on both sides of the National Highway to maintain smooth traffic system. At the same time, the area from Mini Secretariat to Galua Chowk and from Mini Secretariat to Regional Hospital Una was declared a no-vending zone.
