In this regard, Director, Department of Languages, Punjab Jaswant Singh Zafar said that these awards will be presented during the state-level inaugural function of Punjabi Month in the first week of November 2024 at Bhasha Bhawan, Patiala. He said that for these awards, the books published during the year 2021 were requested for the best book awards and the books were evaluated by learned subject experts from different fields and the best books were selected.
Along with the prize money, a plaque and a shawl will be presented in this award. Under the best literary book awards related to the year 2022, Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir Award (Poetry) to Vijay Vivek's book 'Chhin Bhangar Vi Kalateet Vi', Prince Sujan Singh Award (Story) to Arvinder Kaur Dhaliwal's book 'Jhanjaran Wale Par', Gurbakhsh Singh Pritladi Award (Essay/Travelogue) to Jagtarjit Singh's book 'Guru Nanak in Painting', Bhai Vir Singh Award (Biography/Commentary/Dictionary) to Navdeep Singh Gill's book 'Udna Baaz', Sardar Atar Singh Award (Criticism) to Dr. Provided to Manjit Kaur Azad's book 'World Culture Vs Local'.
