Nawanshahr - District Social Security Officer Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Rajkiran Kaur said that on behalf of the state government, disabled persons, employees, sportspersons and organizations, who have done commendable work in the field of welfare of disabled persons, are to be awarded 'Physically Handicapped State Award'.
She said that the prescribed proforma in this regard can be obtained from the office of District Social Security Officer Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (District Administrative Complex, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar). Proformas complete in all respects can be submitted to the office of District Social Security Officer till 30 October 2024. She said that incomplete and applications submitted after the prescribed date will not be considered.
She said that under this scheme, awards are to be given in four categories, these are employees and self-employed (best employed or self-employed with disability), best employer (award for best employer), best self-employed/NGO and individual/institution, and the fourth category is 'Disabled Sportsperson'.
