Hoshiarpur: Cultural and heritage inter-school competitions related to 55 genres were organized at Sant Baba Dalip Singh Memorial Khalsa College Dumeli, an educational institution running under the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, for middle (sixth to eighth class) and secondary (ninth to twelfth class). In which students from about 60 schools participated enthusiastically.
Senior Akali leader Sardar Jarnail Singh Wahad attended these competitions as the chief guest and Sardar Ranjit Singh Khurana as the special guest. In this competition, competitions were organized in folk dance, folk instruments and musical genres. In which Shabad singing, pure Gurbani recitation, poetry, playing instruments, Mamkiri, skit, fancy dress, Giddha-Bhangra, songs, ghazals, folk songs, debates, speech competition and poetry recitation competitions were organized.
On this occasion, in the junior category of Giddha, Galaxy Global School Pansht won first place, Satguru Ravidass Public School Jaitewali won second place, Sri Guru Hargobind Model Missionary School Hargobindgarh Bhogpur won third place. In the senior category, Sant Baba Bhag Singh International School Khiala won first place, Dehradun International Public School Bhabiana won second place, Sri Mahavir Jain Model High School Model Town Phagwara won second place, Guru Nanak Khalsa Girls Collegiate Senior Secondary School Baba Sang Dhesian won second place, SDKMV School Phagwara won third place.
In this competition, in the junior group of Bhangra, Sri Guru Hargobind Model Missionary Senior Secondary School Bhogpur won first place, Satguru Ravidass Public School Jaitewali won second place. In the senior category, Swami Sant Das Public School Phagwara won first place. In the junior category of Shabad singing, Swami Sant Das Public School Phagwara won first place, Akal Academy Rampur Sundara won second place, Guru Nanak Khalsa Girls Collegiate School Baba Sang Dhesian won third place and in the senior category, Swami Sant Das Public School Phagwara won first place, Sahabizada Ajit Singh Ji Public School Sarhali won second place and Sant Baba Bhag Singh International School Khiala won third place. 
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Gurnam Singh Rasoolpur Ji specially thanked the program coordinator Prof. Amarpal Kaur, principals of various schools, teachers, students, parents of students and residents of the area for organizing the event successfully. All the staff and students of the college were also present on this occasion.
