Mohali, October 5, 2024- Paramjit Kaur, the convener of the All IEAT Teachers Association, said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had said that we will not let any MA BED become a peon. We will give him the position according to his merit But we were deceived Even though we were educated, we were kept as peons even after taking away degrees of higher educational qualifications from us 25 times. Paramjit Kaur questioned the government that which country's constitution is it following?
The leaders of the All IEAT teachers organization issued a demand letter saying that, we all IEAT teachers are continuously teaching children with mental and physical disabilities from class 1 to twelfth in government schools under inclusive education from 15 years of age. Our duty is longer and harder than that of ordinary teachers. But still we are making our full contribution in brightening the future of these chosen God-like children by teaching them.
But on 28th July 2023 when all categories (AIE, EGS, STR, EPU) were given due right according to their current and previous educational qualifications and placed in Group-C. We IEET teachers were put in Group-D without any investigation And our higher educational qualifications were overlooked. We are being insulted by calling us only +2 base And being made mentally ill by placing in Group-D with +2 base pay.
While we were neither 12th pass at the time of recruitment nor today, we are NTT, ETT, BEd Special, BEd, Double Tet Clear teachers, our educational qualification at the time of recruitment was at least 12th, not 12th base recruitment. During the year 2008-2009, those with higher educational qualifications were also selected on the basis of pure merit. So, our main demand is that both our past and present educational qualifications should be taken into consideration and we should be given our due rights.
