Shravan Ashtami fair at Mata Shri Chintapurni from 25 July to 3 August.

Una, 11 July- Shravan Ashtami fair will be organized from 25 July to 3 August at Mata Shri Chintapurni temple, the famous Shaktipeeth of North India. SDM Amb Sachin Sharma held a meeting of the concerned officials at Maidas Sadan Chintapurni on Friday and gave necessary guidelines for the successful organization of the fair.

Una, 11 July- Shravan Ashtami fair will be organized from 25 July to 3 August at Mata Shri Chintapurni temple, the famous Shaktipeeth of North India. SDM Amb Sachin Sharma held a meeting of the concerned officials at Maidas Sadan Chintapurni on Friday and gave necessary guidelines for the successful organization of the fair.
He informed that during the Shravan Ashtami fair, ADC Una has been appointed as the fair officer, SDM Amb as the assistant fair officer, while ASP Una has been appointed as the police fair officer and DSP Amb as the assistant police fair officer.
Sachin Sharma said that during the fair, the temple of Mata Shri Chintapurni will remain open for devotees 24 hours a day. The temple will be closed for only one hour during the night for cleaning. The temple will also remain closed for some time in the afternoon for the decoration and offering of the mother etc.

Permission will have to be taken to organize langar-
The SDM said that it will be mandatory to take permission to organize langar during the Shravan Ashtami fair. The organizer will also have to ensure cleanliness after the end of the langar. Apart from this, DFSC Una will regularly inspect the quality of food items during the fair.

Action will be taken for violating the rules-
The SDM said that there will be a complete ban on playing drums, tongs, loudspeakers etc. and the use of plastic and thermocol during the fair. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on coming to Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple through cargo vehicles. He said that action will be taken as per rules against those who violate the rules.

The area will be divided into ten sectors-
The fair area will be divided into ten sectors to maintain law and order during the fair. In view of security, teams of quick task force including police and home guard personnel will be deployed in sufficient numbers. All sectors will be monitored from the control room.

All arrangements for the convenience of devotees-
SDM Sachin Sharma said that temporary toilets will be built at various places to maintain cleanliness during the fair and recovery vans will be deployed to deal with traffic problems. Begging will also be completely banned and regular inspection will be done by the teams of District Child Protection Officer. Allopathic and Ayurvedic camps will be set up at various places to provide medical facilities to the devotees in the fair. Fire fighting vehicles will be deployed to deal with any disaster or fire incident etc.
Along with this, proper drinking water facility will be provided to the devotees during the fair period. He also directed the Public Works Department officials to repair the road arrangements before the start of the fair.
The SDM directed the private inn managers to ensure installation of fire fighting equipment in the inns. He said that the administration will also get them checked. He asked the Electricity Department to ensure necessary maintenance of power lines to keep the power supply smooth during the fair period so that there is no inconvenience during the fair. Apart from this, instructions were also given to ensure installation of additional street lights temporarily during the fair. He informed that drinking water stalls will also be set up during the fair. He directed the Jal Shakti Department to ensure chlorination of water storage tanks to provide clean drinking water to the devotees.
ASP Una Sanjeev Bhatia, CMO Dr. Sanjeev Verma, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Chhaporoh Shashi Kalia, Pradhan Nari Panchayat Alka, Pradhan Aishwarya of Gangot, Pradhan Pratibha of Duhal Bhangwal and Pradhan Sangeeta Wala of Upper Lohara, among others were present in the meeting.
