Hoshiarpur - As per the directions of Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur, under the Nasha Mukt Punjab campaign, an awareness workshop on drug addiction and treatment was organized today at Government High School Bichhohi in the presence of Vidyalaya Incharge Ravi Kant with the support of Principal Rakesh Kumar.
Hoshiarpur - As per the directions of Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur, under the Nasha Mukt Punjab campaign, an awareness workshop on drug addiction and treatment was organized today at Government High School Bichhohi in the presence of Vidyalaya Incharge Ravi Kant with the support of Principal Rakesh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Adia Kauslar of Government Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur gave detailed information about the causes, symptoms and treatment of drug addiction. He said that youth are the foundation of any nation and they contribute significantly to the development of the country. Therefore, it is very important that the youth join the de-addiction campaign in large numbers and accept this challenge and pledge under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan that we can change the society only when we are aware of this campaign.
Because the change should start from oneself. On this occasion, he said that according to the World Health Organization, drug addiction is a recurrent long-term mental illness, the treatment of which is provided free of cost by the Health Department of Punjab. A person addicted to drugs is confused. Instead of hatred, he should be brought on the right path by explaining with love. On this occasion, all the students were sworn in to remain drug free. Amanpreet Kaur, Sandeep Kumar, Paramjit Singh, Amandeep Kaur, Rajesh Kumar etc. were present on this occasion.
