Hoshiarpur - According to the instructions of Social Security and Women and Child Development Department Punjab, under the leadership of CDPO Hoshiarpur-1 Ravinder Kaur, under the leadership of District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, the closing ceremony of Nutrition Month was celebrated at village Bhikhowal. On this occasion, Ravinder Kaur said that Poshan month is celebrated from September 1 to September 30 all over India and it is the seventh Poshan month being celebrated this year.

He said that we should include balanced food in our daily life. He encouraged the women and children to have a nutritious diet by informing them about Poshan month and emphasized the importance of including green vegetables, pulses, gram, jaggery, paneer, ragi etc. in the daily diet to remove anemia. On this occasion, Anganwadi workers prepared low-cost nutritious dishes such as nutritious khichdi, nutritious poha, porridge, coconut laddu, mustard greens and corn roti, missi roti, butter, semolina halwa, kheer etc. Attracted the attention of
Apart from this, a rangoli related to Poshan month was also made by the people present. Which everyone liked very much. Anganwadi worker Alka Rani and other workers of the circle prepared 'Poshan Matka' and conducted nutrition related activities. Meanwhile, Supervisor Rajinder Kaur appreciated the dishes prepared by the Anganwadi workers. Supervisor Arshdeep Kaur said that this year Poshan Month 2024 has been started across India with Ek Mta Maa Ka Naam Drive.
Supervisor Sandeep Kaur gave information about the importance of planting saplings and said that every person should plant at least 5 trees. Along with this, the importance of saving water was specially discussed. On this occasion, Anganwadi worker Alka Rani presented a poem related to nutrition, while Anganwadi helpers Charan Kaur and Kirpal Kaur also spoke. Circle Supervisor Manjeet Kaur welcomed all the personalities present in the function. A large number of women, children and Anganwadi workers were present in this function.
