Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 27:- Sardar Mantej Singh Cheema Assistant Director Youth Services of 55 colleges today at Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Mohali in collaboration with Punjab State AIDS Control Society under the direction of Director Youth Services, Punjab. Advocacy meeting of Nodal Officers and 'Peer Educated' students was conducted.
 Giving information, Sardar Mantej Singh Cheema said that the purpose of this advocacy meeting is to keep the youth away from the influence of drugs, to make them aware of HIV, to promote voluntary blood donation campaign. And gave information about the work done by the youth in the TV Free India campaign. The activities organized by the Red Ribbon Club of each college throughout the year on International Days such as Anti-Drug Day, International Youth Day, Voluntary Blood Donation Day, World AIDS Day, National Youth Day, National TB Day etc. were also released.
 On this occasion, monetary financial assistance was also released to all the colleges for the programs of Red Ribbon Clubs. On this occasion, College Director Dr. Aneet Vedi welcomed the guests and said that such an advocacy meeting will prove effective for the overall development of the youth. Ms. Seema Malik Shivalik Institute of Education and Research Mohali as a resource person gave information about the formation, existence, structure, operation and causes and prevention of HIV AIDS etc. of Red Ribbon Club. Samarjeet Sandhu Marketing Head, Smt. Jyoti Nodal Officer Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Mohali provided valuable support in the entire programme.
