
Booth level officers will go door-to-door to verify electoral rolls - DC
Una, August 23 - As per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, the process of verification of electoral rolls is being done by booth level officers (BLOs) by going door to door in all the assembly constituencies of Una district. Giving this information, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the work of correcting, error-free and updating the electoral rolls will continue till September 8. He said that during this time, the booth level officer will verify the entries of the existing voters in the photo voter list with the help of the head of the household and if any error is found, it will be corrected through Form 8.

During this, eligible voters who are completing the age of 18 years or more on 1 October 2024 and have been left out will be identified and their names will be entered in the voter list through Format 6. During this, booth level officers will identify double registered/dead/temporarily transferred voters and take action to remove their names from the voter list through Format 7. In this verification process, apart from identification of disabled voters, identification of polling station, uploading photo and information of polling station building, information related to the population of the polling station will also be collected. Bad and blurred photographs of voters existing in the photo voter list will be replaced with their latest colour photographs through Format-8.
The District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner have requested all the citizens of the district to provide their full cooperation in the process of verification of voter lists being done by the booth level officers.
