Nawanshahr 20 August - Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) New Democracy District Jalandhar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar are organizing a political conference in the memory of Naxalbari movement leader Comrade Darshan Dusanjh on 22 August, Thursday at 11 am in Dharamshala of village Dusanjh Kalan District Jalandhar.
Giving this information, senior leaders of the party's state committee Comrade Ajmer Singh Samra and Comrade Kulwinder Singh Waraich said that Comrade Darshan Dusanjh is also known as 'Zinda Shaheed' and 'Iron Man'. Comrade Dusanjh played an active role in the Naxalbari movement in the Doaba region of Punjab due to which the police tortured him many times. Due to this pressure, he lost one leg, but he remained firmly active in revolutionary activities.
He left us all on 19 August 2000 due to ill health. Before the political conference to be held in his memory on August 22, a sajda will be offered at his memorial in village Dusanj Kalan. Party leaders will address this conference. On this occasion, Daljit Singh Advocate, Avtar Singh Tari, Hari Ram Rasoolpuri and Kamaljit Sanawa party leaders were also present.
