Awareness camp on women and focused issues by “Hub for Empowerment of Women”.

Hoshiarpur - Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi launched a 100-day awareness campaign to increase awareness and reach on women and focused issues by "Hub for Empowerment of Women". Which is being run across India from 21st June to 4th October 2024. Under the leadership of District Program Officer, Hoshiarpur Hardeep Kaur under the leadership of this 100 days awareness campaign, an awareness camp was organized at Training Centre, Ram Colony Camp, Chandigarh Road, Hoshiarpur.

In this awareness camp, the Anganwadi workers were informed in detail about the Indian Legal Aid, Domestic Violence, POCSO Act, Sexual Harassment, Women's Rights, Adoption Guidelines, Nutrition, Punjab Skill Development Center ongoing courses and Mission Shakti. So that they can convey this information to every village/city. District Mission Shakti Coordinator Gurvinder Singh shared information with Anganwadi workers regarding Indian justice assistance and encouraged them to share this information with the common people.
Assistant Legal Counsel HK Verma gave detailed information about POCSO, sexual harassment, women's rights. Center Administrator Aarti Sharma explained the details regarding domestic violence. Manager Training and Placement Raman Bharti informed about the ongoing courses in Punjab Skill Development Mission. Information about nutrition was given by instructor Jaswinder Kaur. District Child Development Protection Officer Harpreet Kaur gave a detailed introduction regarding adoption guidelines and parenting. Kirandeep Kaur informed about the schemes 'Sambal' and 'Samarth' under the mission power and said that "Sambal" sub-scheme is for the protection of women and "Samarthya" sub-scheme is for the empowerment of women. Apart from this, Superintendent Tarsem Singh, Office Assistant One Stop Center Parminder Kaur and supervisors were also present in this awareness camp.
