Up to 70 percent subsidy available on dairy cattle insurance - Kashmir Singh

Giving information in this regard, Joint Director Dairy Development Hoshiarpur Kashmir Singh said that to reduce this loss, the Punjab government is giving 50 percent subsidy to general caste cattle owners and 70 percent subsidy to scheduled caste cattle owners. Under this scheme, the farmer can insure 1 to 5 animals. Under the scheme, the price of animals has been fixed at 70 thousand rupees. Under this scheme, one year insurance for cattle of SC/ST beneficiaries will cost Rs 672, two years insurance will be Rs 1260 and three years insurance will be Rs 1680.
In this way, general beneficiaries can get one-year insurance for Rs.1120, two-year insurance for Rs.2100 and three-year insurance for Rs.2800. Any dairy farmer can take advantage of this scheme.
