
Applications for PM Internship Scheme can be made till 12 March 2024
SAS Nagar, 25 February 2025: Under the PM Internship Scheme launched by the Government of India, a target has been set to provide 1.25 lakh internships for the year 2024-25. Deputy Director, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Harpreet Singh Manshahia said that these internship opportunities are available in 24 sectors including oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, automotive and banking and financial services etc.

Deputy Director, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Harpreet Singh Manshahia said that these internship opportunities are available in 24 sectors including oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, automotive and banking and financial services etc.
He appealed to the candidates that they can register for internship under this scheme till 12 March 2025 at pminternship.mca.gov.in. Youth of SAS Nagar district can apply for this internship in 3 renowned companies of Mohali district Jubilant Foodworks Limited, Dabur India and Honda Scooters and Motorcycles Limited and many other companies.
In this regard, Deputy Director Employment Generation Skill Development and Training Officer Harpreet Singh Manshahia further informed that under PM Internship, 1 crore youth are to be given internship for 5 years in about 500 reputed companies by the Government of India. Under this scheme, youth aged 21 to 24 years can apply for a 12-month internship program. This scheme is for those Indian citizens who are not doing full-time jobs or are not studying full-time.
He also informed that youth who are studying online or distance can apply. To apply for PM Internship Scheme, the educational qualification should be 10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma, BA, BSc, BCom, BCA and BPharma. During this internship, a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 will be given, apart from this, after applying for the internship (one-time grant) Rs 6000 will be given through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Candidates applying under this scheme will be covered under the government's insurance schemes (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana). Giving more information in this regard, he said that candidates who have done apprenticeship under National Apprenticeship Training (NATS) or have applied for National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) cannot apply under PM Internship Scheme.
Along with this, candidates whose family members are permanent or regular government employees cannot apply under this PM Internship.
