SAS Nagar, August 25 Shiromani Akali Dal Constituency Mohali chief servant Parvinder Singh Sohana has alleged that a false affidavit has been given by the Commissioner of Mohali Municipal Corporation in the High Court regarding the maintenance of the village Sohana pond. He said that the commissioner has been summoned to appear in court personally on September 6 for the next hearing of this matter. Parvinder Singh Sohana said that the condition of the pond in village Sohana is pathetic and since 2017, the villagers have been writing letters and meeting officials and politicians regarding the maintenance of the pond. He said that when there was no solution to this problem, the residents of the village Davinder Singh and others knocked on the door of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2020 in defeat. Mr. Sohana said that the trial of Sohana's pond has been going on in the High Court for the last three years and during this time, the High Court has made several comments against the officials in this case. He said that the limit happened when on August 23, during the hearing of this case in the High Court, an affidavit was given by the Commissioner of Mohali Municipal Corporation regarding this pond, which is a bridge of sheer lies. He said that it is written in the affidavit that the pond has been cleaned while no cleaning work has been done here. He said that if any disease spreads here due to pollution, Mohali Municipal Corporation and administration will be fully responsible for it. Mr. Sohana said that during the Akali Dal government, important development works were done in the village and sewage was also installed. But neither the Congress government did any work here nor the Aam Aadmi Party government is paying any attention to this.
