State President of the Union Harvinder Singh Patiala and Vice President Balkar Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party had promised to make special recruitments in the Health Department during its election promises. But in almost 4 years, not a single advertisement has been given for the post of Multipurpose Health Worker Male in the Health Department. While many diseases including dengue and chikungunya are taking precious lives in the state.
He said that although the Health Minister has given assurances in dozens of meetings, he said that although the estimated 270 posts of male workers in the Health Department have been approved in the Punjab Cabinet meeting of February 2025, the advertisement has not been issued yet even after 5 months have passed.
He further said that all the institutions conducting health worker courses in Punjab have closed their courses after 2012. He said that if the advertisement for the posts is not issued soon, the union will hold a permanent dharna near the Health Minister's house. This dharna will continue till the AAP government issues an advertisement for 270 posts of MPHW male.
In this struggle, the unemployed comrades are ready to fight a do-or-die battle. On this occasion, Raj Sangatiwala, Nahar Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Sahib Singh, Ravinder Singh Ajnala, Neeraj Kumar, Vikram Ferozepur, Navdeep Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Harman Singh, Deep Singh, Jagtar Singh, Manpreet Singh, Major Patran, Mandeep Jhunir, Harkirat Singh, Satvir Singh, Bhupinder Sunam, Gurpiyar Singh etc were present.
