Hoshiarpur, July 25, 2025: Under the leadership of Shri Sandeep Malik, IPS, SSP Hoshiarpur, in the ongoing campaign against drugs, the police have arrested one person in a drug trafficking case. Under the supervision of Shri Mukesh Kumar, SP-D, Hoshiarpur, and as per the instructions of Shri Jaspreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Garhshankar, Inspector Jaipal, Head Officer of Garhshankar Police Station, along with ASI Mahindarpal and the police party, conducted an operation during patrolling and checking.
During this, from the bridge canal Nawanshahr Road, Garhshankar, Jora son of Kashmira alias Shira, resident of Denowal Khurd, Police Station Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur, was arrested. From his possession, 12 narcotic injections (without label) and one motorcycle (make Splendor, number PB24C-1701) were seized.
A case has been registered against the arrested person at Garhshankar Police Station under FIR number 117, dated 24-07-2025, under Section 22-61-85 of the NDPS Act.
