
Historic Artificial Limb Distribution Camp in Jalandhar — Disabled People Get New Life, Self-Respect and Self-Reliance
Jalandhar– The grand two-day Artificial Limb Distribution Camp organized by Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan, Punjab Pradesh on July 22-23 at the Red Cross Bhawan in Jalandhar added a golden page to the social service history of Punjab. In this camp, hundreds of disabled people were given free artificial limbs and ear machines, which instilled a new light of confidence, self-reliance and self-respect in them.
Jalandhar– The grand two-day Artificial Limb Distribution Camp organized by Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan, Punjab Pradesh on July 22-23 at the Red Cross Bhawan in Jalandhar added a golden page to the social service history of Punjab. In this camp, hundreds of disabled people were given free artificial limbs and ear machines, which instilled a new light of confidence, self-reliance and self-respect in them.
This camp was organized as part of the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee Year (1975-2025) of Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan. The Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayati Samiti of Jaipur had special support in this.
A very emotional scene was witnessed when a disabled child who had neither both hands nor both feet came on the stage to get an artificial limb. His smile and struggle for life brought tears to the eyes of everyone present there. The officials, doctors and servants of the organization called it the true interpretation of “Seva-Dharma”.
In this camp, about 100 disabled people were fitted with artificial hands and feet, 55 hearing aids, 16 wheelchairs, 3 tricycles and 6 Vaisakhis were distributed.
At the conclusion of the camp, Punjab Pradesh President Shri Suresh Agarwal Ji said in his address that this camp is a symbol of service and the victory of humanity. It is not just giving artificial limbs, but is also giving the disabled brothers a path to a self-respecting and respectful life.
We are the descendants of Maharaja Agrasen Ji and social service is our duty. He expressed special gratitude to all the project in-charges, doctors, state and district officials, Jaipur team and local servants.
The important guests in this humanitarian service effort were Lovely Group Chairman Ramesh Mittal Ji, Vice Chairman Naresh Mittal Ji, Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat Ji's son Atul Bhagat Ji, Vasal Education Group Chairman Sanjeev Vasal Ji and Jalandhar Councilor Ashwani Agrawal Ji.
This camp has brought new light in the lives of Divyang brothers and sisters and has become an inspiring example for the society that if work is done with the spirit of humanity, then no limit can be a barrier. Dedicated with the spirit of "Service is religion", this camp has become a golden chapter in the history of Punjab.
