Una, April 9 - In order to increase voter participation and voting percentage in the Lok Sabha elections and two assembly by-elections, Self Help Groups (HHGs) of the district are busy in making people aware and motivating them towards voting. In this series, on Tuesday, Shri Ram Gram Sangathan organized sweep activities in Gram Panchayat Sunehra of Una and gave awareness message to the people.
Shri Ram Gram Sangathan informed that all the young voters who are completing 18 years of age or above on April 1, 2024 must get their vote done so that not a single eligible voter in the district is left out from registering their name. Democracy is strengthened by the power of vote and participation of all voters is necessary. All citizens should understand the importance of their vote and use their vote.
Apart from this, the village organization also informed that the facility of Form 12D is available to more than 85 elderly persons and more than 40 percent disabled persons to cast their vote from home. Special facilities like ramp, wheelchair and volunteers will be available for these persons at the polling station also.
