
The Deputy Commissioner made a surprise check of the Government Hospital Balachore
Nawanshahr, 02 February 2024:- Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa conducted an unexpected 'chanking' at the Government Hospital Balachore and gave strict instructions to the doctors to provide all the medicines to the patients within the hospital as per the instructions issued by the Chief Minister Punjab. On this occasion, ADC (R) Rajeev Verma, ADC (Development) Sagar Setiyan, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Gurleen Kaur, doctors and related officials were present with him.
Nawanshahr, 02 February 2024:- Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa conducted an unexpected 'chanking' at the Government Hospital Balachore and gave strict instructions to the doctors to provide all the medicines to the patients within the hospital as per the instructions issued by the Chief Minister Punjab. On this occasion, ADC (R) Rajeev Verma, ADC (Development) Sagar Setiyan, SDM Nawanshahr Dr. Akshita Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Gurleen Kaur, doctors and related officials were present with him.
The Deputy Commissioner said that by checking the Balachore Hospital, the doctors have been instructed to provide all the medicines from within the hospital. By checking the medicine store room of this hospital, all the records have been checked that the medicines which are available at present and which medicines are to be demanded have been given instructions to complete the process. He said that some medicines have already been included in the list of essential medicines. A standard operating procedure (SOP) has been issued for procurement of medicines other than the list of essential medicines and medicines are being made available to the patients.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the patients who came for treatment and sought detailed information about the services provided.
After checking, the Deputy Commissioner said that the concerned doctors have informed that the paperwork for the purchase of the other medicines that are needed has been completed and the tender process for ordering the medicines has been completed. Information has been taken from various patients regarding the services provided. All the patients have expressed satisfaction. These tests are conducted at government rates in private hospitals empaneled for ultrasound facilities. He said that civil hospitals will also be checked in the near future so that the patients do not face any problem in the hospitals.
