Chandigarh February 2, 2024:- Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar is committed to providing state-of-the-art technical
education in a variety of fields and also for facilitating transmission of knowledge in keeping with latest developments in pedagogy. IIT Ropar has joined hands with National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, Panjab University and Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre to work specifically on Entrepreneurship & Rural Development and is organising Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Conclave (ERDC) from 31st January – 3rd February 2024.
 
Entrepreneurship and Rural Development Centre is dedicated to build a vibrant start-up ecosystem, by establishing a network between academia, financial institutions, industries and other institutions of the region by supporting start-ups & entrepreneurs by providing them possible support from the existing systems. 

The conclave will host three one-day conferences with the titles, ‘NEED OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT’, ‘INNOVATIVE RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS’ & ‘ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT AT COLLEGES’, along with concluding ceremony with more than 5000 students pledging to be job creators instead of job seekers. Aim of this conclave is to spread awareness about Entrepreneurship & Rural Development in Bharat and identify the enthusiastic entrepreneurial minds that will eventually set the tone goal for future developments.
