Nawanshahr - Police martyrdom day will be celebrated at ITI ground, Nawanshahr on October 21, Monday at 7.30 am in memory of the police personnel who were martyred in the line of duty. In this event, tributes will be paid to the brave martyrs of the district police, who sacrificed their lives while performing their duty for the security of the state.
 Giving this information, SP (Local) Sohanlal said that the function will be presided over by Senior Police Captain, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Mehtab Singh. He said that in the event, where the martyred policemen and officials will be paid tribute, their family members will also be honored and their complaints will be resolved on the spot.
He said that Police Martyrdom Memorial Day is celebrated every year in memory of police officers and employees who were martyred during the dark period of terrorism during their duty in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district. So that other police officers and employees can get inspiration from those brave warriors of Punjab Police. He said that on the occasion of this day, the entire police of the district will take an oath that the law and order of the country will be maintained by following the path of sacrifices of the martyred employees. And the duty will be performed with utmost sincerity and diligence.
