New modus operandi of cyber thugs:
Currently, cyber criminals join social media groups like WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook and portray themselves as army officers, bank employees or businessmen. These criminals cheat people by giving the following false offers:-

*Sale of fake currency*
*Exchange of old notes at cheap prices*
*Special offers through digital payment (Paytm, Google Pay etc.)*

People trust them and transfer the money, after which the criminals go out of contact. Due to which the common people have to suffer financial loss.

*Caution is safety — Keep the following points in mind:*
*Do not make any currency or money related transactions with any unknown person or group*
*Do not make any payment on suspicious QR codes or bank details being circulated on social media*
*Be cautious of fake offers like cheap notes, exchange of old notes or temptations related to investment schemes*
*Do not download any unknown link, mobile application or software*
*Do not share your banking/personal information with anyone*
