Balachore - Kathgarh Police has arrested two persons with 291 cartons of illicit liquor from a canter vehicle by conducting a special blockade at Hitech Naka Asron and registered a case against them under the Excise Act. The police officer said that a certain informer had informed that a canter vehicle number HR 69 C 1531 in which two persons are going from Nawanshahr to Ropar with illicit liquor. The police took immediate action and when they signaled the vehicle to stop, they tried to run away. After controlling the driver of the vehicle, when the vehicle was searched, large envelopes filled with children's food chips were placed at the rear of the vehicle. So that nothing is caught by the police during checking anywhere. Believing the solid report of the special informant, when the vehicle was thoroughly searched, 291 cartons of illicit liquor were recovered. When the police asked the name of the arrested person, one of them gave his name as Deepak Singh son of Joginder Singh, resident of Jaurasi police station, Samalka district, Panipat, and the other as Ravi Kumar son of Mahinder Singh, resident of Bharat Nagar Kaluni, sector 25, district Panipat. The police arrested the two persons and took possession of the vehicle and started further action.
