S.A.S. Nagar 23 June 2025: As part of the special efforts being taken by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister S. Harjot Singh to raise the standard of education in Punjab, Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Mohali, Angrez Singh, who reached Meritorious School Sector-70 today during the “Parent Teacher Meeting”, met the parents of the students participating in the summer camp. 
He said that the purpose of this meeting is to bridge the gap between the parents of children studying in government schools and teachers, and to have a positive discussion for the bright future of the children and to move them forward in the right direction.
He said that in this summer camp, there are about 600 children, who are from different districts, they are being prepared for JEE and NEET. Highly educated teachers are giving coaching for this preparation. This is the third batch of the summer camp. This summer camp started from June 6 and will continue till June 28.
Today, during the teacher-parent meeting, the parents of the children have been called, they have personally met the parents of the children, the parents of the children have given a good response. The main purpose of this meeting is to give this message through the parents of Punjab, that their children should be educated in government schools. Where the preparation for tests like JEE and NEET is done with full effort by experienced teachers. This will encourage the parents of the child even more.
Apart from this, he also said that the results of Mohali district have been better this year than last year. 36 teams have been formed in Mohali district under the leadership of the District Education Officer. 
Out of which 6 nodal officers have been posted in these teams. This is the third summer camp which is going on successfully. With the coaching taken during the last camp, many children have taken admissions in reputed colleges.
Deputy D. E. O. Mohali, informed that on this occasion he had discussions with the family members of the children who came to the meeting. He said that now students are also getting high-level education in government schools.
On this occasion, he also talked to the students of the school. He asked them about the facilities being provided in the school, on which the students expressed satisfaction.
On this occasion, the parents of the children also visited the school library, science lab and classrooms, on which they expressed satisfaction.
