Additional Deputy Commissioner said that under self-employment and wage employment for the poor, 40 self-help groups have been formed in Municipal Council Tahliwal, of which 10 are from the minority community. He informed that 14 self-help groups have been formed under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. He informed that 1106 job cards have been issued under MNREGA.
He said that under the Enhanced Loan Assistance Scheme for Economic Activities, the annual income of disabled persons for applying for loan has been kept at Rs 98 thousand in rural areas and Rs 1.20 lakh in urban areas. He said that the applicant is given an amount of Rs 5 lakh for a shop and Rs 20 lakh for purchasing a machine and vehicle for employment. He said that a provision has been made for 6 percent interest on loan amount of Rs 10 lakh and 8 percent interest on loan amount above Rs.
District level disabled committee meeting
While holding a review meeting of the District Level Disabled Committee, the ADC informed that a total of 5779 disabled people are being provided the benefit of social security pension in the district. He said that in the current financial year, an amount of Rs 4 crore 95 lakh 18 hundred has been spent so far under this scheme. He said that 212 eligible persons have been benefited under the Divyang Vivah Puraskar.
He said that under the Disabled Scholarship Scheme, so far in the current financial year, an amount of Rs 3 lakh 59 thousand 750 has been transferred to the accounts of 33 beneficiaries. He said that under the Vashishtha Divyang Pehchan Patra Scheme, a total of 5,656 applications have been received in the district so far, out of which 5,540 UDID cards have been generated.
District Council President Neelam Kumari, District Welfare Officer Anita Sharma, DPO Narendra Kumar, CDPO Kuldeep Dayal, National Career Center Director Ranjan Changkkoti and other members of the committee were present in the meeting.
