Mission Shakti Yojana will run till 4 October - Narendra Kumar

Una, July 2 - A district level meeting was organized in the conference hall of the District Welfare Building on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Program Officer Narendra Kumar. In the meeting, the action plan of the 100-day camps being organized under the Mission Shakti scheme was discussed in detail with all the child development project officers and supervisors.

District Program Officer Narendra Kumar said that the camps being organized under Mission Shakti Yojana will run till October 4 in which the Women and Child Development Department will provide information about schemes related to women through public participation. Apart from this, special drives will be organized to spread the information of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana to all the people.
Stop Diarrhea Campaign will run till 31 August 2024
District Program Officer Narendra Kumar said that the Stop Diarrhea Campaign is being run from July 1 to August 31, 2024, in which people are being made aware to adopt practices like clean water, hand washing, clean food etc. in awareness camps for the prevention of diarrhea in children.
Child Development Project Officer Una Kuldeep Singh Dayal asked all the circle supervisors to make people aware to prevent waterborne diseases. Apart from this, CWC Chairperson Meenakshi Rana gave information about the laws related to women. She told that these laws will be implemented all over India from July 1, 2024. Detailed information was given about the changes in many sections and punishment provisions after the Domestic Violence Act 2005 and laws from sexual exploitation to mob lynching. In the New Indian Code 2023, information was given about the punishment given in relation to chain snatching and information was given regarding the punishment given in acid attacks in the new criminal laws.
District Program Officer Una Narinder Kumar, Child Development Project Officer, Una Kuldeep Singh Dayal, Child Development Project Officer Dhundla, Rupesh Kumar Tomar, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee Meenakshi Rana and other officers were present in the workshop.
