Patiala: The New Patiala Welfare Club, under the leadership of President Arvinder Kumar Kaka, protested against the Municipal Corporation Administration and the government for not taking any steps to catch the stray cats roaming the streets, neighborhoods and crowded bazaars of the city for a long time and take them to appropriate places.
Stressing on the early solution to this problem, President Arvinder Kumar Kaka said that many incidents have occurred in the city due to stray cats and many members of the households have lost their lives due to their attacks. Now stray animals have become a big and serious problem for the city residents. No steps are being taken by the government and the Municipal Corporation Administration for the safety of the people.
The Municipal Corporation officials who receive high salaries do not care about the precious lives of the people living in the city, while the responsibility of protecting the people lies with the Municipal Commissioner and DC. The stray cattle roaming freely and fearlessly has become a big problem for the thieves. The Municipal Corporation and the government have failed miserably to control the ferocious animals that have caused serious injuries and deaths to people.
There is no area of the city where groups of bulls and cows are not seen roaming in large numbers. The government is also collecting crores of rupees in cow cess from the people for the care of stray cattle. If a person dies due to stray animals, then the government and the administration will be responsible for it. If there is loss of life due to stray cattle, then the government should make it mandatory to pay an amount of Rs. 50 lakh to the victim's family as a claim.
President Arvinder Kumar Kaka warned the government and the Municipal Corporation administration that if the stray animals roaming in the city are not taken to suitable places soon, then the whistle of the struggle will be blown keeping in mind the safety of people's lives and property. During this, Hukam Singh, Kala Singh, Bhag Singh, Bunty, Madan Singh, Man Singh, Suraj Kumar, Arun Kapoor, Paramjit Singh, Narinder Pal Singh, Surinder Singh, Sarwan Kumar, Prem Chand, Sonu, Gurdeep Singh etc. were present.
