Patna: Politics has intensified in Bihar over the rising prices of onions in the country. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's party JDU has strongly attacked the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi while posting on its X handle. JDU has lashed out at PM Modi through a video.
JDU wrote that 'the heart does not cry so much in loneliness... as much as it cries in Modi ji's inflation'. In this video, it has been said that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had missed to score a century in the past, but in Modiji's regime, Piaz has reached close to scoring a hundred. Onion continues to play a hot innings in terms of prices.

In Bihar, the price of onion has doubled in 30 days
Onion is being sold at Rs 60 to 80 per kg in the markets of many districts of Bihar. The price of onion has also increased in the wholesale market in the last one month. In the last week of September, the price of onion in the wholesale market was Rs 2050-2100 per quintal, which has now reached Rs 5100-5200 per quintal.
There is no arrangement to store onions in the district
Onion is not cultivated on a large scale in the district. Farmers cultivate onions according to their requirement. In such a situation, arrangements have not been made at the government level for its storage in the district. The entire district has godown arrangements for storing vegetables only like potatoes.
