The arrival of paddy in the mandis of Patiala district has crossed 5 lakh metric tons

Patiala, October 24- Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Sakshi Sahni said that the arrival of paddy in 109 mandis of the district is happening rapidly and till last day 5 lakh 22 thousand 491 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the mandis and out of this 5 lakh 12 A thousand 737 metric tons of paddy has also been purchased.

Patiala, October 24- Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Sakshi Sahni said that the arrival of paddy in 109 mandis of the district is happening rapidly and till last day 5 lakh 22 thousand 491 metric tons of paddy has arrived in the mandis and out of this 5 lakh 12 A thousand 737 metric tons of paddy has also been purchased. He said that payment of Rs 1012.21 crore for the purchased commodity has also been made to the farmers.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 228475 metric tons of paddy has been purchased from Pangrain, 116349 metric tons from Markfed, 99717 metric tons from Pansp and 68196 metric tons from Punjab State Warehouse Corporation.
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said farmers can contact WhatsApp chat bot number 73800-16070 to get information about stubble management and available machinery in the district, on which farmers will get a list of available machinery in the district. He appealed to the farmers and said that we all have to work together to save the environment from pollution, so farmers should prefer to use in situ and ex situ techniques for stubble management.
