Hisar:– Under the able leadership of Superintendent of Police Hansi Amit Yashvardhan, an effective and public concern campaign is being run in Police District Hansi under the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwada Abhiyan".
Under this campaign, the drug de-addiction team of Hansi Police is going from village to village and making the villagers aware of the ill effects of drug addiction. Police officers, beat in-charges, and awareness teams are personally explaining to the people that drug addiction can destroy not only the individual but the entire family and society.
*Powerful means being adopted for public awareness*
Chowpals in villages for dialogue, awareness through street plays and slogans, posters, pamphlets and audio publicity, special programs in schools and panchayat buildings
Meaningful results of this public awareness campaign have started coming out. People of rural areas are now openly raising their voice against drug abuse. In many villages, local youth and women groups have taken a pledge for a drug-free village panchayat. At some places, people themselves have come forward and cooperated by informing the police about the drug business.
*Superintendent of Police Amit Yashvardhan said:*
“This effort of Hansi Police will not be limited to the campaign only, but it will take the form of a continuous public movement. Only when the society itself becomes aware, a decisive fight against drug abuse is possible.”
*The slogan that is becoming the voice of the public movement:*
“Say no to drugs, say yes to life!”
“Quit drugs, unite the family!”
Strong society, drug-free nation!
